Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park +

You will be picked up from Arusha by your driver/guide and proceed to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. The park is defined by the Tarangire River, attracting large concentrations of wildlife, especially during the dry season when animals migrate from the Maasai Steppe. The landscape is dotted with ancient baobab trees and open savannah. Tarangire is also home to rare species such as the Greater Kudu, Fringe-Eared Oryx, and Ashy Starling. Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park’s scenic viewpoints overlooking the river—while staying alert for opportunistic monkeys. Day 2: Karatu – Serengeti National Park +

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying a scenic game drive en route. Pass through mist-covered highland forests where sightings may include buffalo, baboons, elephants, and even leopards hiding in the thick vegetation. The drive to Serengeti takes approximately four hours. Optional stops (at extra cost) include: Maasai Boma Visit Olduvai Gorge Upon arrival in Central Serengeti, enjoy an afternoon game drive across the vast plains teeming with wildebeest, zebra, giraffes, antelope, elephants, and top predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Day 3 & Day 4: Full Day Serengeti National Park Game Drives +

Spend two full days exploring the Serengeti National Park, maximizing your chances of witnessing predator action and seasonal wildlife movements. Start each day with an early morning sunrise game drive, the best time to observe hunting predators such as lions and leopards. Optional: A sunrise hot air balloon safari with champagne breakfast can be arranged at an additional cost. After breakfast, enjoy full-day game drives with packed lunches. Your guide will carefully select routes to increase the chances of spotting the Big Five and, depending on the season, the Great Wildebeest Migration. Day 5: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area +

Enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti before departing towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area via a different route, offering fresh wildlife viewing opportunities. Expect continued sightings of massive herds, elegant giraffes, elephants, and a strong presence of predators including lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and jackals. Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha +

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, widely regarded as the Eighth Wonder of the World. This vast caldera supports over 120 species of mammals, including the full Big Five. Ngorongoro offers one of the best chances to see the endangered black rhinoceros, alongside hippos, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, antelope, and a high density of predators. After the crater tour, drive back to Arusha for your onward flight.
