Travel to Volcanoes National Park, home to Rwanda’s highland gorillas, and explore its misty rainforest with expert park rangers. Witness the fascinating social dynamics of a habituated gorilla family, including silverbacks, playful juveniles, and nurturing mothers, for up to one hour. The trek is challenging, often involving 4–9 hours of walking through uneven rainforest terrain, bamboo thickets, and occasional wildlife trails. Conservation is a priority: visits are limited to eight trekkers per gorilla family to protect these endangered creatures.
